Step into a creative and collaborative class designed for middle and high school students who are passionate about musical theater and acting and ready to take their craft to the next level! Led by Artistree's Emilie Goodrich and Zack Autieri, this small, dedicated group will dive deep into the world of musical theater, acting, and improv while building a close-knit community of performers. In this class, you’ll work on developing your own musical theater repertoire, learn how to select the perfect audition material, and even experiment with writing your own scenes and songs. We'll explore improv exercises and help you package yourself as an actor with confidence. Our final class will culminate in a relaxed showcase where you can share your progress with your peers, friends, and family. As this class evolves, there may even be opportunities to work on productions such as song cycles or newly written smaller works, allowing students to experience the joy of performing new material. This class is built for the Musical Theatre performer, but also welcomes kids who only want to explore their acting and improv skills! Plus, the class can be taken multiple times, providing ongoing opportunities to refine your skills and grow as a performer.
