A proud Virginia native, Margaret Montavon is an actor, producer, writer, and educator who believes in harnessing the transformative power of the arts to tell meaningful stories, spark crucial dialogues, incite curiosity, and inspire creativity within students from all walks of life. Margaret holds a BA in Theatre Performance from Marymount Manhattan College, a Master’s in Education from Northeastern University, and is a graduate of the Upright Citizen’s Brigade Improvisation Program, where she developed her love for comedy and telling stories with heart and humor. In addition to her starring turns as a dead body on CBS’ Unforgettable and a victim on Law & Order: SVU, Margaret has also performed at the Arias Theatre, the 42nd Street Theatre, the Times Square Arts Center, and with the St. Jean’s Players. Margaret has taught music, theater, and dance at the Marymount School of New York, Encore Stage & Studio, and now Artistree Performing Arts. Margaret is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA and AEA who is currently developing a children’s book while simultaneously serving as a producer and co-writer on several forthcoming series, including Ruby, Disruptor, Bad Braille, and an untitled comedic series set in the American Midwest.
