Born to a loving family in New Rochelle—a city rich in the arts and rich in learning—Sébastien Feuga was encouraged to discover and explore his passions and interests from an early age. Growing up, he developed a love of learning, and soon after an introduction to music in grade school he began singing in a choir through middle school and to the end of high school. Music became a passion quite dear to his heart, and he eventually picked up and taught himself guitar and saxophone.
After graduating from New Rochelle High School with high honors, he began attending Westchester Community College and came out three years later with two degrees in hand—an Associate’s in the Liberal Arts and an Associate’s in the Performing Arts. His ambition later became to earn a Bachelor’s in the Expressive Arts Therapies at Lesley University. Although he did not complete his education there due to a change in vocation, many of the concepts and practices he studied at Lesley along with a summer’s worth of experience filming for the NYU Nordoff-Robbins Center for Music Therapy have been quite useful and appropriate to his current work with Artistree.
Sébastien has always loved working with children—and he himself is still a kid at heart. Helping others to grow and be happy is what makes him happiest, and he is always eager to do so, be it with a younger or an older crowd, no matter whether it is in a professional or personal context!
