Mark J. Parker has been the Casting Director & Talent Relations at ABC’s Lincoln Square Productions in NYC for over three years. At the company, he primarily casts actors on the primetime hidden camera show “What Would You Do?” and has also cast TV specials such as “Adnan Syed: innocent or Guilty?” for Investigation Discovery, “Swiped” for Hulu, “Kids Who Kill” for A&E, and “Behind the Magic of Snow White” for ABC. Since 2012, Mark has been casting in the improv-based/soft-scripted world of entertainment, and enjoys seeing strong actors of all ages use a mixture of scene outlines and improv to tell a story. In addition to casting, Mark is an actor, host, filmmaker, producer, writer, and more… His short film “Sticks,” which he wrote, directed, and produced, was completed in 2016 and has screened at over 20 film festivals throughout North America, and he has worked on many other films and TV shows since moving to New York in 2006. Recent stage credits include Ed in You Can’t Take It With You (St. Jean’s Players, NYC), Johnny in Night of the Living Dead Live! (interACT Theatre Productions, NJ), George in Carrie The Musical (interACT Theatre Productions, NJ), and C.B. in Dog Sees God (AlphaNYC Theater Co., NYC). He graduated from Fordham University with a BA in Communications, and received a certificate in Producing from NYU’s School of Professional Studies.
