Through the course of this three-week intensive, our campers entering 5th–10th grade in the Fall will get advanced versions of our camp standards: singing, acting, Broadway dance, improvisation, theater games and rehearsal, but will focus heavily putting on an actual show. Because the students will work on an advanced singing curriculum and sophisticated choreography, previous experience in musical theater is recommended, but not required. A final performance will take place at the beautiful Emelin Theater in Mamaroneck!
We will also be going on a field trip to see a Broadway musical on Wednesday, July 12th! Campers will come to camp as normal at 9:30 am, then take the train with their instructors to the matinee performance of a show. Pickup after the show will be in the evening at the Mamaroneck train station. Parents are invited to join as additional chaperones, if they would like to attend. More specific details about the Broadway show trip will come in an informational email prior to the start of the camp session. **Please note that the show and train tickets will be an additional cost. For more questions, please call the studio at 914-835-2200.
Our camp show will be on Thursday, July 20th around 6:00 pm in the evening. Please anticipate dropping your child off later in the day on this day, around 12 pm or so, as they will be staying with us through the end of the performance in the evening. On Friday, July 21st, camp will start at 11:00 am and go until 3:00 pm for a cast party. More specific details about the show and the cast party will come in an informational email prior to the start of the camp session.
*Please include your child’s RISING grade for the September 2023 school year in your registration.
